Hi folks,

This is my first post on this blog and it’s taken me a while to get here. Youtube videos make it all look so easy to set up a website for blog posts, that’s certainly not how I found it. The poor old laptop suffered several near death experiences, and I’m still not sure if this post will show up or not.

Anyway, by way of introduction my name is Paul, I live in Perth, Western Australia. I work in emergency services, and as of 2021, I am 54 years old.

I absolutely love traveling. However at the moment our state is one of the most heavily locked down places in the world. I am eternally grateful of that though, as we have largely been spared the Covid-19 horrors that have engulfed the rest of the world.

Still, we are all dreaming of the day when we can pack our bags and go off gallivanting around the countryside. While I’m not traveling though I still like to hunt for out of the way places and attractions, research hotels, trains, buses, and just generally imagine what I could do when the gates are finally unlocked.

So that’s what this blog will be about. Me hunting down the questions that I find in the Google search engine regarding travel, and trying to source the answers. Along the way there will no doubt by some incoherent rambling and ranting, but that’s just an age thing, and as wife says, it will either get better or fall off.
